Hey there — I’m Josh, the hands, heart, and hard work behind JSmith Wood Co. Based in San Antonio, I craft each board in my garage workshop, where the scent of mesquite and the sound of sanders fill the air most evenings.

This side hustle started out simple — just a love for working with my hands and a deep appreciation for the character in Texas hardwoods, especially mesquite. What drew me in was how every piece of wood told its own story — from the twisty grain to the natural knots and checks that give each board its personality. Add in a bit of resin and some inspiration from my favorite Texas places, and suddenly this turned into more than a hobby.

JSmith Wood Co. is about making something personal — whether it's a gift, a centerpiece, or your go-to board for Saturday charcuterie nights. I design every board to be as unique as the home it ends up in, with a bit of Texas soul poured into each one.
